Environmental Film Festival in the Nation's Capital

(Feb – Mar 2022)

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation's Capital (DCEFF), the Japan Information & Culture Center (JICC), Embassy of Japan partnered up with the Austrian Cultural Forum Washington, Embassy of Austria to co-host a virtual screening of the film Mottainai Kitchen. A pre-recorded interview with Director David Gross, panelists from both Embassies, and a community resources booklet were included in this free virtual screening package as part of DCEFF's 2022 virtual film lineup.

As the JICC's Film Coordinator, I pitched, negotiated, coordinated, and executed this entire project (including a pre-recorded interview and Q&A session with Gross) in addition to designing this booklet. After researching zero waste initiatives in our community, I put together this booklet in hopes of inspiring audience members to lead a more green lifestyle. Mottainai Kitchen is a film that combines purpose and fun, whetting your appetite for a sustainable future.
