PROJECT SCOPE: Primary designer for all rebranding projects
PROJECT DURATION: August 2023 to February 2024 (deliverables completed within 2 months)

DESCRIPTION:
The Japan Information & Culture Center (JICC), Embassy of Japan underwent a major rebranding in 2017. Since then, the JICC has developed its social media presence to encompass Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, and LinkedIn. I was tasked with leading the rebranding project with our Deputy Director and Supervising Diplomats. This included months of prototyping potential fixes—there were issues with the typography (especially in regards to bilingual interfaces), logo (vector artwork and optimization, color palette, and accessibility due to sizing/resolution of the 2017 logo set. This rebranding project included numerous revisions in our branding's touch points (including significant changes in copy, i.e., Mission Statement), logo corrections, branding identity, branding artwork/patterns, an updated color palette, and several templates (social media posts/stories; stationery; publicity materials; panel layouts etc).
